This role will be a full-time permanent position, based at our customer site in Cambridge. A full driving license and own vehicle is highly preferred due to the site location.

As a Logistics Operative for Avantor, you will document inventory, prepare reports, and maintain inventory operations.

Working hours:
Monday to Friday, core hours

Primary Location:
The Discovery Centre, Cambridge

What we're looking for?

Education:
GCSE or equivalent secondary school qualification

Experience:
Previous experience working in a logistics environment is highly desirable.

Collaboration Tool:
Good IT skills required (including Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook)

Who you are

  • You are a "gogetter" who enjoys manual work and is aware of stock processes
  • You already live in Cambridge or can easily commute into the city
  • You are comfortable working in fastpaced environments, and working on your feet
How you will thrive and create an impact

  • Maintaining accurate stock levels and moving stock including samples and consumables around the campus
  • Providing excellent customer service by liaising with thirdparty contact with couriers and by resolving end user pricing issues
  • Being accurate with all administrative tasks which include document controlling, managing quotes and handling sensitive shipment data
  • Shipping customer material, ensuring accuracy when labelling consignments and quality checking the parcels before they leave
  • Purchasing stock for the laboratories using a stock ordering system
