As a UK Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the successful operation of our client's UK payrolls, handling a portfolio of client accounts from Start to finish through our payroll software.


This will include:
Running full end-to-end payrolls

Gathering and validating all data and information required to successfully implement and run a new client's payroll through our payroll software our Platform.

Work with our Implementation team to ensure the successful setup of the payroll software.
Lead all Parallel Run activities and find solutions for any differences to ensure a balanced outcome.
Work closely with the Implementation team to ensure a smooth transition from the onboarding project to live operation.
Update the Payroll Manager with the latest status including the escalation of risks and issues impacting the project.
Acting as the UK payroll expert, you will become the go-to person in the organisation for UK payroll queries.

Operate end-to-end payroll process on monthly payrolls for allocated clients (including processing the HMRC Submissions, net pay transfers and HMRC Payments).

Liaise with HMRC regarding client queries and reconciliation of client accounts where necessary.
Provide team support and training on payrolls.

Requirements:

3+ Years' Experience working within a Payroll, Accounts or Finance Function.
Experience working with Payroll Software packages.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and ability to quickly analyse data and come to solid conclusions.
Manual Tax Calculations for current and prior tax years is a requirement
Superb client engagement skills and confident in engaging with and building relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
Excellent facilitation, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail.

Must be motivated, professional and able to work on own initiative, with the capacity to be a versatile team player - flexible, proactive, and pragmatic.

University degree in a relevant or related field is an advantage but not a requirement.
