At Kallidus, our mission in Product Design is to eliminate obstacles to people's success by creating positive paths for development. We have a diverse team skilled in strategy, research, interaction design, and visual design to ensure we solve the right problems for our customers and users.

As a UX researcher, your main role will involve conducting discovery research on our top-priority issues and market trends to pinpoint opportunities for both us and our customers. Your insights will influence our product strategy and roadmap. Additionally, you will collaborate with our Product Designers to plan and conduct necessary research for their projects.

As a skilled communicator, you will confidently present and explain research findings to various stakeholders, emphasizing data-driven decision-making within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish yourself as an expert in understanding our users, sharing insights and knowledge across teams, and advocating for user needs and data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct discovery and comprehensive research on our key issues and opportunities.
  • Support Product Designers with their research, from setting best practices to running usability sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Product Design Manager to enhance our research processes and tools.
  • Promote research best practices and educate the business on the value of UX research.
  • Work closely with other teams at Kallidus, including product, engineering, customer success, and implementation.
  • Manage our Product Design mailing list for customer research participation.

Essential skills

  • Effective at presenting insights to stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence others with research for design decisions.
  • Data synthesis from various sources to recommend innovative products.
  • Strategic project planning and scoping.
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research techniques.
  • Knowledge of self-reported and behavioral research methods.
  • Experience in generative, formative, and summative research.
  • Define sample sizes, research plans, and questions effectively.
  • Familiarity with user-centered design and product development processes.
  • Conduct small research cycles for rapid feedback.
  • Create and use broad-scope and narrow-scope personas.
