As a Business Research and Development Executive, you will play a vital role in laying the groundwork for the company's growth and progress.

While no two days will be the same, your responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Supporting the Business Development, Research and Development, and Marketing teams by overseeing daily activities related to customer projects such as shipping samples and distributing information
  • Executing communications and prospecting campaigns in collaboration with the wider commercial team
  • Conducting in-depth research on various specialty chemical markets and product applications relevant to the company's natural polymer range
  • Participating in outreach activities and events as part of the commercial team, engaging with potential clients at events both locally and potentially internationally
  • Compiling regular reports for the commercial team detailing the sales pipeline, prospects, and progress against business objectives and targets
  • Monitoring competitor actions and preparing monthly summaries to circulate internally within the company
  • Managing and enhancing the CRM system, ensuring accurate and updated records under the guidance of the Head of Business Development and Head of Marketing

Desirable skills and attributes include:

  • Proficiency in numeracy, preferably with experience managing contact databases and CRM systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • A keen interest in materials technology and/or chemistry, with the ability to quickly grasp new technical concepts and convey them concisely
  • A genuine enthusiasm for the company's mission to combat plastic pollution and a passion for sustainability
