The
PR& Media Manager, DBJ will develop and execute effective communication strategies across Media, PR, events and influencer marketing for De Beers Jewellers in order to strategically build brand awareness, desire for our product and traffic to our stores.

They will act as a true ambassador, developing its image through strong relationships and contacts and play a pivotal role on how the business communicates on the Building Forever Initiatives.

This role will work cross-functionally and collaboratively to ensure an integrated 360° approach to communications.

PR
Build and implement a Public Relations plan to build awareness for the Jewellery House and support the business objectives.

Oversee global
PRcommunications, establishing relationships with new key editors and maintaining existing ones.

Oversee Media & Comms Assistant making sure they are immersed in the Company's strategies/messaging and fully understand content/assets/tools.


Proactively liaise on a regular basis with press to secure increased editorial coverage in consumer titles and industry titles and social media – from product placement to news stories, brand features and interviews.

Communicate De Beers' sustainability work - Building Forever.

Identify partnerships that will help support the business and communication objectives – sponsorships/ collaborations/speaker opportunities etc.

Media

Give input to the brand & content team in regards to assets needs for media campaign

Create the media strategy (except performance media) to serve the brand objectives (incl OHH, Print etc)

Manage media site visits, co-ordinating with journalists and site teams to ensure smooth delivery.

Manage the media briefing programme, including briefing notes.

Proactively identify, develop and support delivery of new media opportunities

Partner project teams to provide informed counsel on media strategy.

Events

Develop
PRevents plan

Execute
PRevents, such as press events and influencer events, ensuring strongROI

Support global events such as High Jewellery launches

Monitor events activity to keep updated on competitive set and identify any opportunities

Coordinate celebrity dressings and seek out further global opportunities.

Evaluate influencers for each region, brand fit, engagement and amplification.

Research and report on competitor's VIP and global influencer activity.

Client Communications

~ Work closely with the marketing team to attract and retain clients through events and recruitment initiatives.


Manage the evaluation of communications coverage and provide market President/ Managing Director and the Head of
PR& Media with observations and learnings from analysis.

Set annual
PRcoverage targets for markets.

Financial & Others

Responsible for Comms budget and management of all the administrational aspects of the
PRteam invoicing.

Work closely with risk management to ensure all activity is aligned with internal guidelines.

Strong communications background.

PR, Media and Events expertise ideally in the luxury jewellery industry.

Consumer marketing landscape, especially innovative brand communications strategies.

Up-to-date/innovative developments across brand communications landscape, particularly social media.

Sustainability-related matters a plus (particularly environment, communities, gender equality).

Effective management of third-party agencies.

Public company structures and regulatory disclosure obligations.

Experience in crafting communications strategies, including
PRand influencer marketing.

Strong relationships with editors, especially jewellery editors, influencers and industry peers.

Monitor/reporting via data analytics tools.

Crisis management experience.

Ability to work with different cultures and business environments.

Intercultural sensitivity and communication skills.

Resourceful, flexible, proactive, creative, team-player.

Take risks and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Energetic, inspires others to high performance, self-motivated with the drive to operate effectively in complex situations and multi-task.

International travel may be required from time to time.
