The PR & Communications Team is part of the wider Brand and Marketing function, whose role is to inspire our employees, shareholders, media and influencers to champion the best of SkyShowtime.

We're creative, driven and action orientated. We want to drive brand awareness through great PR campaigns that get people talking about SkyShowtime and encourage prospective consumers to sign up for a monthly subscription to the service.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, and a passion for the entertainment industry. You will already have a good knowledge of all things PR, and the role this plays within the overall marcomms function. You will have a good understanding of how to work with media, and have an understanding of agency management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director of PR & Comms and Senior PR Manager to develop, plan and manage the PR and Communications strategy for content publicity.
  • Work closely with key brand and marketing teams to ensure any PR campaigns and messaging are seamlessly integrated as part of the overall launch marketing plan and objectives.
  • Day to day management of content slate publicity, overseeing press office function, studio liaison, talent interviews, junkets, talent tours and more.
  • Day to day management of relevant agencies across PR to build awareness, consideration and drive SkyShowtime subscriptions across 20+ European markets.
  • Bringing to life SkyShowtime's brand strategy and entertainment offering through bold, disruptive and unique PR tactics that will excite and engage consumers.
  • Working closely with Corporate Comms and PR colleagues at Paramount Global, Comcast, Sky and NBCU to ensure SkyShowtime messaging and PR activity is aligned with broader corporate communications and PR strategies.
  • Day to day management of analysis and reporting on media coverage of SkyShowtime and competitive set across key markets, presenting the results to the division when required.
  • Cultivating relationships with influential print, digital and broadcast journalists or thought leaders as relevant and required.
  • Writing media releases, briefing documents, talent schedules and other press materials.
  • Offering strategic support to regional PR teams on local campaigns and managing external events and activity relating to these campaigns in respective markets.
  • Identifying and securing PR opportunities for senior stakeholders where required.
  • Issue management and drafting reactive comms in response to queries from media and external stakeholders.
  • Shared management of corporate social media account activity.
  • Budget management

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experience in TV and film publicity and the media industry in general.
  • Experience in talent relations and junket execution (virtual and in-person).
  • Experience in event and agency management.
  • Highly motivated and organised individual with a passion for PR and the media.
  • Organised and efficient, while adept at working to specific deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of popular culture and/or technology.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Collaboration - ability to be good team player, but also able to work independently.
  • Flexibility - need to be able to adapt to changing demands in a busy environment and to be available to travel for in-market activity where required.
  • Excellent personal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to act with autonomy, seeking solutions to problems and referring upwards for guidance or to gain agreement on a recommendation.
