Customer Services and Accounts Assistant

Role Profile:

  • Prepare weekly reports for stakeholders and Head of Finance on debt collection and ordering issues.
  • Speedy manipulation of data within Excel, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Process all orders, in a timely manner and taking payment from the customers before the order can be released.
  • Make calls to customers for their weekly product orders, working with a predetermined call list.
  • Make sure the accounts are up to date and everyone has paid for product orders and rents within their agreed terms.
  • Answer all incoming calls, as promptly as possible.
  • Liaise with third party supplier, resolving any order queries.
  • Deal with customer queries, in a friendly prompt manner.
  • Assisting other members of the accounts team (purchase ledger, payroll, credit control), when time permits.
  • Identify missing invoices or unallocated payments on Creditor and Debtors' ledgers and resolve issues.
  • Statement reconciliations.

Key skills:

  • Able to effectively manage expectations.
  • Liaise with all customers in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal & written
  • IT literate including Excel.
  • Methodical and good attention to detail.
  • 2 Years in a similar role would be preferred.
