Responsibilities:
- To lead and manage a proactive, engaged and multidisciplinary Estates team to ensure effective management of the college accommodation and property portfolio to ensure a high standard of customer service by motivating, appraising, developing and coaching.
- To act as an accessible and consistent central point of contact for all operational and administrative estates matters across all sites.
- To engage with the security, cleaning, catering and waste contract services across all sites, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery to achieve best value.
- To work in collaboration with Head of Health & Safety to ensure statutory compliance of H&S in respect of property, plant, procedures, contractors, staff, students and customers.
- To follow the tendering process in accordance with the college's financial regulations and to be accountable of delegated Estates maintenance and capital budgets
- To develop and deliver innovative solutions to meet the current and future accommodation needs of the college curriculum and supports departments
- To carry out and contribute to feasibility studies, appoint external consultants where appropriate, to deliver major and minor capital funded refurbishment and internal services works.
- To develop, implement and review sitewide maintenance plans to ensure the provision of a comprehensive and cost effective building facilities in line with the college's strategic plan and to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
