A successful property company is looking for a passionate, committed, hardworking Resident Manager based in Maldon, CM9.
The Resident Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring the good management and that service standards are achieved within a retirement home/site.
Key tasks of this role include:
- The Resident Manager will be on duty in the manager's office during specified times each weekday to be available to residents to deal with non-urgent matters.
- Carrying out weekly observations using the Resident Manager Observation Checklist and must report in writing any maintenance issues.
- Providing the Property Manager with regular notice in advance of planned activities in the communal lounge area for the coming month(s). The activities must not involve any monetary prizes and should be chosen by mutual agreement between the Resident Manager/residents.
- Keeping the external communal gardens free from rubbish.
- Keeping a daily diary electronically.
- Required to supervise the behaviour of any contractors instructed to attend site to carry out works and quotes.
- Each flat has an emergency pull cord connected to a speakcommunication system to the manager's office. When the Resident Manager is not on call, the Resident Manager must ensure the system is switched over to the appropriate response team.
- Residents must advise the Resident Manager if they are going to be absent from the development for more than 48 hours. This is for fire safety purposes.
- Tidy and clear up of the communal lounge, kitchenette, utility area and WC
- Ensure all appliances are switched off
- Ensure all cutlery and equipment in communal areas are clean, safe and in good working order
- Ensure all paperwork and documents are held securely in accordance with GDPR requirements
- Ensure the main communal door and windows are locked shut at the end of each working day
- Weekly fire alarm testing
- Visual fire extinguisher inspection
- Should be confident, well-presented and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent IT skills, in particular Powerpoint and Excel.
The hours will be:
Monday to Friday - 9:00am to 5:00pm
Salary range will be:
£20,000 - Accommodation + Utilities
