Their people are key to everything they do, therefore Independent Lifting Services invest considerably in training to ensure their staff have the knowledge and skills needed to provide customers with the optimum level of service.

As a Workshop Assistant you will support the Company in its general day to day activities.

Duties will include;

  • Process respective work orders as distributed by line managers.
  • Work to inspection / test procedures and risk assessments for appropriate equipment
  • Confirming equipment conforms to relevant purchase orders and product specifications
  • Complete inspection records and stores requisitions on works orders
  • Work to company Quality Standard requirements
  • Work to company health and safety requirements and risk assessments
  • Booking in of stock and equipment purchased for works orders
  • General housekeeping of workshop and yard
  • Assisting in all workshop and yard duties
  • Ensure all relevant training logs are completed upon completion of works scope
  • Carry out any other duties that are within the employees skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed
Preferred skills;

  • Clean Driving Licence
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to deal with multiple deadlines
  • Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
Hours of work are Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5pm with potential of regular overtime.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Language:

  • English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving License (preferred)
