Based in our Maldon warehouse and travelling into London and nationally, the individual will be a practical and dynamic person proactively supporting the installation and logistics team.

The successful applicant will report to the Logistics Manager.


You'll be responsible for assisting in the delivery, installation and assembly of office furniture, providing a high level of customer service and workmanship at all times.

Good customer service skills including being polite, professional, and dealing with customers in a helpful manner.


Between installs and maintenance calls you will need to assist the team members in the warehouse preparing for projects and export.


Key Responsibilities:
-
Product Knowledge
  • Learn and maintain a deep understanding of all DAS furniture.

-
Site

  • Experience in the installation of office furniture and equipment or similar trades. Experience of busy site work, working efficiently and to targets. Ability to supervise others during the installation and report back to the Logistics Manager.
-
Attitude:

  • Positive cando attitude, ability to work on own initiative and under instruction. Ability to work alongside thirdparty contractors. Ability to interpret and work from drawings.
-
Clients:

  • Visit clients to carry out service/maintenance calls.
-
Driving:

- delivery of product to clients, sites and partner companies.
-
Test 'Dry' Builds- to ensure client-side work is right first time, test builds are undertaken on export and new product to ensure accurate manufacture and quality is achieved.

Reporting:

- advise of errors, damage, shortfalls and other anomalies.

-
Client Facing D&I:

  • Undertake delivery and installation duties as required, this will be both in and out of normal business hours.

Out of hours
  • The role will require early starts, late evenings and weekend work. Overtime is paid to cover this.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisational/time management skills with an eye for detail and accuracy
  • Good general IT skills, including, outlook, word and excel. Training given on company systems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive, reliable, personable and enthusiastic
  • Clean Driving Licence
  • Ideally live within a 30minute commute radius of Maldon, Essex.
Hours: 45hrs per week, with additional overtime outside normal hours including Saturdays and Sundays due to customer requirements.

Salary:
Up to £13.00 per hour depending on experience. Free Parking on Site, 5% Employer Pension Contribution.
