Role description:


Working in the Engineering Stores Department and reporting to the Internal Stores Manager, this position is responsible for providing spare parts, materials, information, and reports to all relevant departments, ensuring where possible that delays to production are avoided.


Responsibilities:

To check all deliveries and advise and update the operating system and stakeholders as appropriate.
Monitor the materials that are kept and issued from the Stores Department.
Maintain the operating system as required, to ensure that the system is accurate for use, replenishment, reporting and analysis.

Maintain a tidy and organised stores area to help in the storage and use of stores materials and other deliveries.

Respond to any queries relating to the Stores Department so issues and enquiries can be dealt with appropriately.

Maintain an effective 5S programme and communication flow between stores, other departments and stakeholders, to help maintain a well-informed and cohesive team approach.

Comply with company hygiene, health and safety rules and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Understanding of stores SOPs and processes.

Required skills / qualifications:

Knowledge of engineering terms and culture
Computer literate
Experience of stock control and reporting systems
Previous experience in a fast-moving production environment.
