What you will do

  • Repair of parts for Nikon Step and Repeat systems as an essential part of NPE's business:_
  • Work with Service and Materials Control Departments to keep an updated list of endangered legacy parts.
  • Tracking ongoing part projects, contacting manufacturers of second source parts, organising repairs.
  • Look for and organise part repair loops.
  • Identify Nikon parts available for sale from other sources.
  • Assist service engineers in local repairs and testing on NSR equipment.
  • Tracking repair costs, feeding back overall costs of repair including shipping etc.
  • Management of Repair parts inventory and organisation of shipping and receiving of such parts is a critical function for this role:_
  • Working with Material control on updates to Nikon's SAP systems.
  • Maintain onsite parts/tools storage.
  • Assist Service and materials group with customer parts returns tracking, part number identification and parts orders during critical escalations.
  • Organise all incoming/outgoing shipments of parts/tools from Bathgate, including packing and other preparation needed, ensuring communication with relevant department.
  • Support Customs requests for further information.
  • To assist with NSR move in/out sequences.
  • To train on use of Nikon forklift and assist in loading and unloading shipments from Nikon Bathgate.
  • To assist the Site Technical Coordinator when site upgrade works are in progress.

What you have

  • At least 3 years' experience in a logistics/materials control environment preferably in the electronics or semiconductor industries.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows, MS Office. Knowledge of SAP and/or good Excel skills are a strong advantage.
  • Good understanding of part control processes including ordering, delivery receiving checks and invoice checks.
  • Good organizer, good communicator, stress resistant with a flexible personality.
  • Quick reaction to changes and customer needs, good understanding of part supply requirements.
  • Capability to understand technical terms and basics to supply correct parts.
