The rota will include morning, day and evening shifts, with the earliest start time on this rota being 05.00hrs and the latest finish time being 22.00hrs.


Your role

  • To correctly check Freight / Trade Vehicles in and out of the Port
  • Be the first point of contact for anyone coming onto the Port, including haulier's, contractors and customers
  • You will be required to accurately process high volumes of data
  • Ensure that all policies, procedures and standards are adhered to
  • Adhere to customer requirements
  • To portray a positive image at all times

Your profile

  • It is important that you have a good work ethic (i.e. conscientious and reliable)
  • Strong administration and keyboard skills are essential
  • You will have a high level of professionalism
  • Good communication and customer service skills are essential
  • You must have excellent IT skills with experience of using bespoke databases and Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • You must be able to demonstrate flexibility to cover absences of colleagues
  • High attention to detail and accuracy are crucial skills for this role
  • Team work and the ability to work on your own initiative are also important
