Ashford and St Peters NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Consultant Gastroenterologist

The Gastroenterology team manage approximately 8000 new referrals to the gastroenterology service annually

We provide 12,500 endoscopic procedures annually

We provide a full range of gastroenterology related services including; Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Nutrition, Hepatology, Hepatobiliary endoscopy, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and Functional Bowel disease

We provide 7-day consultant led care (including cover for gastrointestinal bleeding)

We have a talented, dedicated team working in a friendly, flexible, and cohesive group. We are enthusiastic, welcoming, and proactive in supporting special interests. We are supported by a strong team of 2 SpRs, 2 IMT/GPSTs and 4 FY1s. In addition, we have specialist nurses for the Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Hepatology services. Nurse endoscopists support the management of patients with Barretts oesophagus and Iron deficiency anaemia. We offer fantastic development and coaching programmes for new consultants and will support you with your development. With opportunities to develop your professional portfolio. We aim to provide a high-quality patient experience and an excellent place to work for all staff.
