About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Asset Management department. This is a 6 month (might be extended) full time contract.

As a Project Manager your job purpose will be:

  • To oversee all activities where LMGL PE riser installations have been confirmed as requiring replacement or protection.
  • To ensure compliance with safe best practice, legislation, accreditations, industry and company standards.
  • Manage contractor activities required to complete the works.
  • Liaise with customers from planning works/notifications through to re-commissioning of the newly installed asset and any snagging requirements.
  • Managing the works as per the agreed programme.

Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible for project safety and quality.
  • Ensure project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Plan and supervise works inclusive of excavation and reinstatement, removal/installation of risers, commissioning, and purge and relights.
  • Provision of completion documentation and all relevant databases entries.
  • Communications with all stakeholders (including, local authorities, Factors, customers and third parties)
  • Provide technical leadership and operational support where required to company staff and contractors carrying out activities on the PE riser replacement project.
  • Developing/maintaining standards, processes and procedures relating to the LMGLs MOB portfolio.
  • Liaise with customers regarding satisfactory outcomes to enquiries, complaints and escalate where necessary.
  • Maintain industry knowledge and participate in industry events.
  • Review and approval of contractor/third party invoices.

Knowledge/Qualifications:

  • Qualification detailing significant operational/design experience and technical expertise.
  • Professional qualifications or recognised membership through IGEM (EngTech, IEng or CEng).
  • Detailed knowledge of multi-occupancy gas network installations.
  • Knowledge of gas network design, construction, commissioning, and operations.
  • Sound knowledge of the gas industry standards.
  • Proven commitment to health, safety, and compliance.
  • Experience and understanding of Health and Safety in both design and construction environments.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in a similar gas engineering role with a thorough knowledge of operational applications.
  • Experience of operating as a CP.
  • Operational authorisation to CP or AE level.
  • Experience in attending and contributing to industry fora.
