Deal Advisory Assistant Tax Manager

About the Role
- Financial Services: Focus on private equity, infrastructure, and real estate funds, as well as institutional investors with UK, European, and Global strategies.
- Corporates: Collaborate with innovative FTSE 100 and 250 companies on strategic acquisitions, carve outs, de-mergers, disposals, and joint ventures.
- National Markets: Engage with mid-market corporates and PE funds across the UK, driving growth in local sectors.
The Deal Advisory Tax team offers a wide array of services including due diligence, structuring, vendor assist, refinancing, and listing support for deals ranging from £10m to over £10bn. Our goal is to help clients navigate tax issues and optimize value throughout the investment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Partners and/ or Directors on complex transactions to deliver premium advice.
- Support in identifying new opportunities, contributing to proposals and pitches.
- Build and manage client relationships in collaboration with the Deal Advisory team.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, legal advisers, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Mentor colleagues, engage with peers, and focus on continuous learning.
- Provide detailed technical advice on UK and international tax matters.
- Analyze tax documents/ data, identifying key issues and their commercial implications.
- Work closely with tax specialists across the UK and internationally, challenging their perspectives.
- Demonstrate updated knowledge of UK and OECD tax developments.
- Assess financial models from a tax standpoint.
- Contribute to Deal Advisory Tax's thought leadership initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate
- CTA or ACA/ CA qualified or equivalent.
- Passionate about transaction work.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK corporate tax.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and providing strategic advice.
- Team player with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
