Due to expansion in our Milburn SPAR, we are looking for an experienced
Deli Assistant to join our team.

Duties:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of deli products
  • Operate deli equipment, such as slicers, grills and ovens following safety guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, including food preparation surfaces and storage areas
  • Operate scales accurately
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure quality and freshness of products
  • Upsell additional items or promotions to customers to increase sales

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 Hygiene is essential and Level 3 Hygiene is desirable.
  • Previous experience in a deli or kitchen environment is preferred
  • Basic math skills for stock management
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate portioning and presentation of food items
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work area
  • Ability to work well in a team and provide exceptional customer service
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Full-time, Permanent.

Shifts are 6am-3pm five days a week.
