Civil Enforcement Officer - Skegness (Temp to perm possibilities)

We are Recruiting for Temporary Civil Enforcement Officers in Skegness on a fixed term contract running from April - October 2023, however there may be a real possibility of the contract becoming permanent.

You must be available to commence Full Training in March prior to starting the role

Civil Enforcement Officers are an important part of the local community. You will be responsible for ensuring that all drivers follow parking regulations on public streets and in car parks, making sure emergency vehicle access is not blocked and the road is safe for all members of the public

What you'll do:

  • You will patrol public streets and local council car parks to ensure that car parking regulations are being followed.
  • You will record and issue Penalty Charge Notices.
  • You will check parking meters and car park equipment and report damage or faults.
  • You will report defective signs and road markings, identifying and reporting abandoned vehicles.
  • You will explain regulations to motorists and advise them about parking facilities.
  • You will check tickets and attend to minor machine faults.
  • You will ensure car parks and their facilities are clean, tidy and satisfactory

What you'll bring- You will have excellent customer service skills.

  • You will have good spoken and written English and arithmetic skills.
  • You will have strong communication skills.
  • You must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • You will have experience or the desire to work outdoors.
  • You will have resilience as you could be walking quite long distances on patrol.
  • You will hold a Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Essential.
Shifts are 45 hours per week over 5 shifts

  • 1 shift per week will be until midnight the other 4 shifts will be daytime hours notified in advance. You will be provided with full training and uniform.
  • You do not leave the role prior to the end of the fixed term contract.
  • You have no, or mínimal absence during this time.


If there is a permanent contract available / offered to you at the end of your fixed term contract you will no longer be eligible for the retention bonus, you will be given a permanent role instead.
