Summary

Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of a passionate team this role as a facilities assistant plays a core part in providing fantastic customer service.

This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we're looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We'd give you as much notice of this as possible.

The Salary: £11.50 per hour

Duration: Fixed term contract until 31-Oct-2024.

What it's like to work here

You will work as part of a small team caring for the holiday accommodation at the Stackpole Centre, during busy times there is also support from external cleaning contractors. We host school and university residential stays, large and small family bookings, weddings, birthday celebrations and bucket & spade holidays.

Stackpole is a listed designed landscape and an internationally important nature reserve. This stunning location takes in an eight-mile stretch of coastline, with sandy beaches, wooded valleys and lily ponds. Staff work across a varied portfolio which includes Bosherston Lakes and Tudor Merchant's House in Tenby.

What you'll be doing

As the Facilities Assistant, known internally as Housekeeper, you'll assist with the day to day cleanliness and presentation the National Trust's holiday accommodation at the Stackpole Centre. You'll turn your practical hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor maintenance ensuring all our facilities are kept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.

Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter picking will form a core part of the role, both inside and outdoors. You'll ensure the highest standards of customer service across the area by always implementing a 'customer comes first' attitude.
