Cordius are looking for a Process Operator to join the Sheet Lead Team at a highly reputable manufacturing company with extensive experience in delivering customized solutions based in Chester.
As a Process Operator, you'll receive full training enabling you to carry out the production/manufacturing process on your designated production cell, producing sheet lead using various machine methods including the rolling mill, slitter, and saw operation.
Your duties will include:
- Achieving the production targets set for the department.
- Highlighting and communicating any minor faults which may cause delay to production.
- Ensuring all operating conditions are correct before commencing manufacture.
- Ensuring the work area is always kept clean and safe.
- Maintaining accurate records of production.
- Contributing to daily shop floor team meetings.
The Package
- A permanent contract.
- A basic pay rate of £11.26 per hour (equivalent to a minimum of £21,078 per annum). As this is a shift position, you will be on a shift premium rate of £14.08 per hour (equivalent to a minimum of £26,357 per annum).
- 4 weeks paid annual leave plus bank holidays.
- A contributory pension scheme (following successful probation period).
- A cycle to work scheme.
- A healthcare cash plan.
- Free car parking.
Shifts are as follows:
Week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 5:45am to 1:45pm, and Friday 6:00am to 3:00pm
Week - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 1:45pm to 10:30pm
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A flexible attitude and be open to overtime opportunities, with a quality-focused mindset.
- Team player with excellent timekeeping skills.
- An indate/current Counterbalance FLT licence is mandatory.
- Experience within a factory environment and a Reach FLT licence is desirable.
