We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Administrator to join our team at Stewart House, within the directorate of Adult Mental Health.

Stewart House is a 30 bedded unit, 15 Female Skye Ward and 15 Male Arran Ward, for patients needing longer stay in ahospital setting for rehabilitation due to the severity of their mental health illness.

The role of a Senior Clinical Administrator isdiverse, with each day bringing new challenges and successful candidate will have experienceworking in an admin role capacity and be able to work cohesively with others toensure they are maximising the efficient use of time.

Main duties of the job

Due to the fast pace and nature of the work, the postholder would be required to have the essential knowledge and experience or bewilling to learn and develop from commencement and be able to demonstratewithin the following areas.

As a Senior Clinical Administrator, you will plan, organise and prioritise the diaries andworkload of yourself and others (aligned managers) without direct supervisionwhilst working to meet deadlines.

You will be required to communicate effectively, written, verbal and face to face with professionals andservice-users at all levels in health and agencies external to the service.

You will be supervising staff with their day-to-day workload, completing supervisions, and ensuring their training is complaint.

You will be using your own initiative, working with confidential and highly sensitive information, showing attention to detail and the ability to work accurately, whilst understanding the importance of adhering to the trust policies and local procedures.

Experience

Essential

Experience of working corporately within a large, multi-professional team. Experience of providing administration support for a range of projects and assisting the project managers in updating key documentation such action logs and presentations. Experience of managing a team which works to a standard which is compliant with policy, procedure and other quality frameworks. Experience of receiving, recording, and relaying complex information both verbal via telephone and written.

Qualifications

Essential

Good standard of education including GCSE English and Mathematics Grade C (new Grade 4) or higher. ILM Level 3 or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience. Full working knowledge and ability to demonstrate in all Microsoft Office packages.

Desirable

Knowledge of administrative procedures and systems acquired through training and experience vocational/ NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

Experience in the development and implementation of electronic or paper-based office systems, which are continually maintained and updated. Able to work under pressure with conflicting demands and interruptions, maintaining a high level of performance. Attending meetings and events including taking accurate and informative notes/minutes, identifying, and following up actions.
