Job details
Location - Forth Valley
Salary -£11.27 per hour (Unqualified) £11.55 per hour (Qualified)
Package - Various Hours available
We are looking for enthusiastic, fun and caring individuals to join our Forth Valley services which has staff bases in Redding, Slamannan and Dunipace.
The individuals we support within this service area all have their own interests and needs, however a common theme is that they all enjoy a day out.
Whether that be simply a walk in the park or a coffee out they all would agree there is nothing better than an adventure away from the doors.
They want people to come and join the team who will take them places and do things with them that they enjoy.
As individuals they all like different things - Robbie loves his dance music, going out for dinner and the boxing gym.
Carolyn loves her jigsaws, karaoke and going on mini breaks.Julie on the other hand loves to cook, going out for a walk or to the Time Capsule and anything Mama Mia.
Chris loves to get out most days with swimming being a favourite activity as well as learning to cook new meals, but he will give most things a try.
Zain does not speak but he certainly makes himself heard, he loves music, laughing and trampolining. It has been known prior to covid to enjoy mini breaks to Blackpool, Cornwall and even Disney Land Paris.
With restrictions coming to an end these types of adventures will be starting to happen again and the supported individuals want fun people to go with them to live the high life.
The people we support, like us all, can have days where they are not as happy and up for the fun things in life.
Great support knows what to do at any given time but we will always help you with this so you know how to respond in any given situation.
Now don't worry if you have no direct experience within this field of work as we train you and our supported individuals keep you in check telling you just how they like to do things.
More importantly, know that personal care is only a very small part of the role and for some of the supported individuals it is not necessary at all.
Those with high empathy and tolerance along with a great sense of humour are key to success in what at times can be a challenging but rewarding role.
Hours of Work
Although we offer flexible working contracts, we also require a degree of flexibility in your approach to work. Various shift patterns available which can include weekend working, evenings, waking nights, and sleepovers.
