My client is a large car parking management business.

Your new role

  • To manage the debt recovery & legal team responsible for the recovery of unpaid Parking Charge Notices
  • Developing a team of varying degrees of experience to be an efficient and cohesive unit in a growing business
  • Ability to effectively mentor and succession plan members of the team
  • Identifying strategic and technical improvements to introduce an efficient recovery cycle with the aim of reducing unnecessarily incurred disbursements and mitigating costs risk
  • Manage and evaluate the performance of external solicitors and debt recovery agents
  • Manage litigation against the business on a bespoke basis, including instruction and management of external solicitors
  • Ensure completion of all DSARs within the regulatory timeframe
  • Provide guidance and support on compliance and regulatory matters to colleagues across the business

What you'll need to succeed

  • Solid Debt Recovery and Litigation experience in England & Wales, familiar with the process and system
  • Strong supplier management experience especially managing debt collection agent and external solicitor and barrister
  • Excellent team management skills and solid experience of training and team operation
  • Can work and management the team confidently on remote working basis.

What you'll get in return

The position is based in West Sussex, and need to be in the office 1-4 days in the first week for the training and later on once a week in the office, rest of the time are working from home, fully time position.

Salary up to 55k (pro rata for a 9 months FTC)
