We're looking for aSite Agent to join our UK Power Networks (UKPN) ED2 Alliance teambased in Crawley.

Location: Crawley

Contract: Permanent - FullTime

Our Natural Resources, Nuclear &Networks division brings the built environment to life, keepingpeople and businesses connected. In this role, you will beresponsible for the on-site delivery of civil construction worksfor a new substation being constructed by UKPN, ensuring theimplementation of Health and Safety procedures and project deliveryto the correct specifications.

What will you beresponsible for?

As a Site Agent, you'll beworking within the UKPN ED2 Alliance team, supporting them indelivering significant and potentially complex projects safely, ontime, and within budget.

What does the day today look like in this role? 

Your day today will include:

  • Monitoring Healthand Safety standards and ensuring compliance with SHEMS, completingweekly inspections, raising observations, and investigatingincidents.
  • Producing and reviewing RAMS forall site activities, ensuring they are implemented and amended whenrequired, and completing inductions, RAMS briefings, and toolboxtalks.
  • Managing subcontractors and directlabour within a multi-trade environment, including procurement andoversight, and holding weekly progress meetings.
  • Ensuring all statutory inspections are completed,undertaking duties of TWC and lifting Appointed Person, andmaintaining the Construction Phase Plan.
  • Developing and maintaining quality plans, implementingITPs, record sheets, NCRs, and defects, and contributing to monthlyclient reporting and progress meetings.

What are we looking for?

This role ofSite Agent is great for you if:

  • Youhave a sound knowledge of NEC3 Contracts, including Early WarningNotices and Compensation Events, and proven experience managingcivil works contracts.
  • You hold relevantqualifications such as CSCS/EUSR, SMSTS, CITB Temporary Works, CSCSAppointed Person, and IOSH/NEBOSH certification.
  • You have excellent communication and leadership skills,the ability to monitor and report against programme and financialrequirements, and a willingness to challenge standards to improvequality or value.
