HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors. We have several permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.

We are looking for a Workshop Supervisor / Engineering Supervisor / Workshop Foreman to join a marine engineering company located in Falmouth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering, ideally from a Shipwright / Engineering background.

Duties and responsibilities of the Workshop Supervisor / Engineering Supervisor / Workshop Foreman

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and efficiently
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all marine vessels and equipment
  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of marine technicians and engineers
  • Ensure all repair and maintenance work meets the highest quality standards
  • Deal with customers to understand their needs and provide technical advice and solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment histories
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant documentation and certification requirements

Qualifications and requirement of the Workshop Supervisor / Engineering Supervisor / Workshop Foreman

  • Level 3 NVQ minimum in marine engineering or a related field
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety policies
  • Must be able to travel to Falmouth
  • Hold a Full UK Driver's License
