"Your Role"

As Customer Strategy & Proposition Senior Manager, you will facilitate the definition of ASDA's customer strategy (who are our target customers and how will we win with them) and the development of propositions to meet customer needs, working cross-functionally to launch, test, iterate and optimise propositions. You will:

  • Lead a team of Customer Proposition Managers.
  • Facilitate the definition and annual review of ASDA's customer strategy.
  • Define the 3 year customer roadmap and annual customer proposition plan.
  • Work in collaboration with the Customer Insight and Foresight Team on customer needs research to provide the jumping off point for new proposition development.
  • Work closely with Transformation; Customer and Commercial leadership teams; Finance and the wider Customer and Marketing teams to set customer direction and prioritisation.
  • Lead the creation, development and management of the portfolio of customer propositions across the business.
  • Set measures, continually monitor and optimise customer propositions.
  • Deliver measurable results that support the delivery of our business and customer strategy.

****This is a fixed term contract for 12 months****

  • Experience of leading and developing high performing teams.
  • See the bigger picture and understand the interplay between business and customer strategy.
  • Utilise data and insight to identify customer needs and identify and prioritise opportunities to meet them.
  • Deep understanding of developing and utilising customer segmentation.
  • Innovate thinker with experience in developing, trialling, testing and launching customer propositions.
  • Consistently and confidently champion the Customer and agitate for doing the right thing to meet customer needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to engage stakeholders at all levels in the business and align them to the requirements of customer propositions.
  • Clear and compelling verbal and written communication.
