We are looking for aMEICA Project Engineerto join our Natural Resources team based close toour sites in the Thames Valley, working on wastewater treatmentsites.

Location:within commutable distance to our sites in the Thames Valley region- presence on site will be required but remote working maybe available whenpossible
Contract: Permanent,full-time position – flexible and part-time hours may be availableif desired, just let us know

 

Responsibilities

Kier is a strategic partner to Thames Water for AMP7 andAMP8 on Capital Frameworks across the Thames Water supply andtreatment regions. We deliver design & build services for newand existing infrastructure assets (below ground) andnon-infrastructure assets (above ground).

As ourMEICA ProjectEngineer you will be working within our WastewaterAsset Assurance Programme (WAAP). You will work alongside otherProject Engineers to ensure that these MEICA focused projects aredelivered in line with Kier's and the Thames Water KPI's.


Your day to day will include:

  • Engage with the direct and supply chainworkforce matters of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, leading byexample on leading indicators to promote engagement
  • Selection of Mechanical & Electrical supply chain andpackage scope based on technical and commercial judgement, inconsideration of client frameworks and a willingness to challengewhere there is a programme or commercial opportunity
  • Supervise work to ensure that it is carried out inaccordance with method statements and work instructions from theproject manager
  • Accountability for the reviewand management of MEICA design outputs from our designpartners.
  • Work with MEICA site supervisors andcommissioning engineers to monitor site progress and check theworks are in line with the approved designs.

 What are we lookingfor?

This role ofMEICA ProjectEngineer is great for you if you hold:

  • Industry experience within water and ofcommissioning Mechanical and/or Electrical plant inwastewater
  • BEng/ ONC/ HNC/ BTEC qualifiedMechanical or engineer
  • CSCS card, SSSTS &Confined Spaces
  • Experience in reviewing RAMSand understanding the risks associated with process plantinstallations
  • Full drivinglicence.
