Pricing Manager

FreshDirect have an exciting opportunity for a PricingManager to join the Commercial – Merchandising teamon a full time, permanent basis.
Reporting intothe Merchandising Director you’ll support and manage the Pricingteam in the execution of pricing strategies across national, keyand street customers through analysis and understanding of both rawmaterial, foreign exchange impact and internal supply chaincosts.
This role provides internal pricingguidance for key seasonal changes and monthly market-based pricingstructures, supporting the development of innovative pricingschemes and tools whilst accurately measuring and maintaining priceperformance and providing governance over all pricing relatedprocesses, assuring pricing discipline, integrity and accuracy inall customer pricing submissions.
This role ishome-based, however will require you to visit the Bicester office3-4 times per month for team collaboration, so flexibility isrequired.
- Managing the builds ofpricing structures within the business on a seasonal, monthly, andad hoc basis, working with the sales teams to ensure relevance onshape and value of goods.
- Support thegovernance and control process for all pricing relatedprocesses.
- Working with the procurement andsupply chain teams to understand true cost, market cost, foreignexchange impacts and cost of supply for all wholesale products andbuilding into a fit for purpose cost file to support both matrixedprice changes and ad hoc product listings or basketamendments.
- Designing, implementing, andmaintaining benchmarking and market price guidance for bothinternal and external customers and both existing and proposedcustomer baskets.
- Understanding, controlling,and communicating internal cost of goods levels to the businessensuring market relevant costs for informed pricingdecisions.
- Working closely with the support ofthe Purchasing and Marketing departments to provide clear marketjustification data that supports and embellishes the price reviewprocess on a seasonal, monthly & ad hocbasis.
- Building and mapping FinancialEvaluation documents for new business tenders and providingguidance and insight on appropriate price submission for successfulpipeline and tender conversion.
- Maintenance ofproduct loading
- Maintenance of customerloading
- Develop key skills and expertise ineach of the business focuses, providing direct partnering to eacharea of the business.
- Identify business needsfor new processes, insights, reporting and data to support inmargin and sales growth
- Being recognised as akey advisor to the business around price, costs and product marketmoves.
- Responsible for the formulation andongoing maintenance of Commercial business processes to supportbetter, faster working, stronger cross-functional alignment andsales and margin growth.
- Oversee a small teamto ensure accuracy of reporting, price uploads and variouscommercial support functions. Systems & Data team to maintainall central data in the system accurately and toSLA.
You’ll have extensive experiencein a similar Pricing Manager role with the understanding of complexpricing strategy management, either B2B or B2C. Advanced knowledgein creating, publishing and managing price lists as well asimplementing pricing strategies, ideally within an FMCG/Produceorganisation. An expert in assessing commercial proposals andproviding accurate recommendations. We’re looking for someone whohas experience of supporting and managing a small – medium sizedteam through effective coaching and development. This role suits acustomer focused pricing professional with excellent stakeholdermanagement skills to build effective relationships at all levelsinternally and externally. A strategic and commercial mind set isessential for this role to deliver cost effective decision makingacross the business supporting margin and salesgrowth.
