Our Assistant Restaurant Manager

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Garden Caf . As the face of one of the estate's busiest and most vibrant venues, you will exude confidence, self-motivation, and a passion for hospitality, leading by example. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the guest experience throughout the department, ensuring your front-of-house team consistently delivers and upholds exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Garden Cafe manager in the most productive and efficient way through management of costs, staffing controls, sales analysis, and forecasting.
  • Ensure our guests have the best possible experience, monitoring and managing guest expectations and making improvements where necessary.
  • Assist in training, development, and retention including team 1-1s
  • Keep up to date with food & drink culture
  • Maintain company representation, ensuring you and your team always look impeccable.
  • Ensure The Newt's style of service and ethos is always upheld.
  • Help and execute estate wide events.

Where you'll be working

 

The Garden Caf offers a perfect vantage point over the kitchen gardens and orchards below, from which a vegetable-led menu is sourced - serving breakfast and an all-day menu, including cream teas, seven days a week. The team consists of a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager 2 Team Leaders & is supported by 19 team members.
