Whatyou'll do
As a CyberSecurity Risk Oversight Manager, you’ll be overseeing the cybersecurity risk across each business to make sure it’s understood,measured and within appetite. This includes opportunities tosupport with improving communication, as well as the training andawareness of cyber security across the three lines of defencemodel, including conducting suitableassurance.
Alongside this,you’ll work and partner with the first line of defenceto provide strategic direction and oversight on the adequacy oftheir operational risk mitigation strategies, frameworks and plans,specific to technology, and cyber security, and attend respectivecommittees and governancefora.
You'll alsobe:
- Providing acredible, second line of defence challenge to business seniormanagement, business teams and policy standard owners on theeffective management of operationalrisks
- Detecting inadequate or ineffectivecontrols to mitigate cyber risk to the desired level andchallenging the appropriateness of riskappetite
- Gathering intelligence and buildingactionable insights, using internal and external sources, andvalidating the identification and assessment of operational risk,highlighting any material risksoverlooked
- Undertaking regular business reviewsof material risks and of adherence across all operational risk, andusing the output to inform debate and action with businessexecutives and senior management
- Providingexpertise to business management and policy standard owners on theidentification, assessment and control of operationalrisk
- Driving focus and action on building astrong level of resilience into critical processes in the bankthrough influence and challenge at seniorlevels
Theskills you'llneed
We're lookingfor someone with significant cyber security experience, paired withthe ability to challenge senior management positions, and a strongtrack record of delivery across multiple businesses, involvingcomplex stakeholder, process and technologyissues.
Along with this,you’ll have knowledge of the regulatory environment pertaining tolarge, complex financial service organisations and the ability tomaintain industry risk management leadership with high levels ofawareness of front line processes, including hands on practicalexperience.
You'll alsoneed:
- A recognisedqualification in cyber such as CISSP or CISM, and experience incyber security management, including oversightchallenge
- A strong understanding of managingand measuring cyber risks relevant to key business activitiesundertaken in a financial servicesorganisation
- Technical expertiseand an in depth understanding of the risks arising from thedeployment and use of Cloud and associatedplatforms
- In depthknowledge of risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, as well asindustry security standards andpolicy
- The ability to consistentlyexercise sound and decisive judgement
- Strongcommunication and organisationalskills
