Brakes, part of Sysco GB,are currently recruiting for a Product DevelopmentExecutive to join the team on a full time, permanentbasis. As a Product Development Executive, you will be workingacross several product categories as part of the merchandisingfunction, the product development role works alongside procurement,technical, category and supply chain to support and deliver thewider team business strategy goals.

Your role isto support elements of the end-to-end development process toexpediate the delivery of projects across categories. You willshadow development managers to gain full insight and knowledge ofthe development process from brief to launch. You will be trainedto look after a small product group within a category or a supplierfor ongoing development and career planning.

Thisrole is offering a hybrid working contract, working 3 days per weekin our Ashford, Kent office for Team Collaboration, so you must bein a commutable distance and open to travel as this role willrequire regular UK travelling and occasional European/Internationaltravelling.

KeyAccountabilities &Responsibilities:

  • Supportingin all food Panels for existing product development and new productdevelopment.
  •  Product qualityBenchmarking 
  • Organising of samplerequests for external customers.
  • Createsupplier facing product development briefs for NPD &EPD 
  • Review & validate first draftsupplier specifications.
  • Activity Tracking:Track and monitor end to end new line set upprocess.
  • Support with the implementation ofSysco product tiering
  • Ownership of criticaltimelines by task by project.
  • Obtaining allfood samples internally and externally for panels andbenchmarking

Aboutyou:

The ideal candidatewill be a foodie at heart and have previous food productexperience, within a food technology/ manufacturing and/ orhospitality industry. You will have some experience with projectmanagement and possess commercial business awareness, and will beable to communicate with multiple levels of stakeholders. You willhave the ability to work independently and as part of a team toachieve your targets.

Successful candidates musthold a valid clean UK Driving License and have access to their ownvehicle.
