Summary

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time).
Salary: £22,698 per year.
Duration: Fixed term contract until 31st October 2025.
Interview date: 29th and 30th August.
Potential start date: 9th September.

What it's like to work here
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll be based at Blickling Estate, a 4,600 estate in the beautiful Norfolk countryside. The estate features woodlands, parkland, gardens, and numerous unique historic buildings as well as a gift shop and The Stables and Muddy Boots cafes offering hot and cold drinks, light meals, snacks and cakes, with indoor and outdoor seating.

What you'll be doing
As a Team Leader, you’ll be giving day-to-day support to your team, to make sure they’re consistently giving great service to everyone who comes to the café. This is a busy, lively place to work, so you’ll need to be adaptable.
Your focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people and serving them food and drink. Crucial to this role will be your love of working with people, your positive ‘can-do’ attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service.
Using your excellent eye for detail, you’ll make sure all displays and signs are accurate, and that the food is looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food.
You’ll also be supervising the induction and training of colleagues, to help build a team that’s dedicated to great service and to giving people a day to remember.
We’ll give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role. You can sign up for further professional training and development if you wish.
