Aramark UK is looking to hire an experienced and dedicated Catering Manager to join our team in the Newport area, NP44.

This is an exciting, permanent and full time opportunity with some additional time off in the school holidays.

As Catering Manager, you will oversee our food offer and oversee our retail, catering, hospitality and events business managing a large team.

A day in the life of a Catering Manager

  • Oversee and manage food production for the site
  • Lead and manage a large team to include their day to day activities and all relevant training and performance
  • Build and manage the client relationship and other key stakeholder relationships across Aramark
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
  • Select and develop recipes as well as standardise production recipes to ensure quality
  • Drive promotions and the culinary concept
  • Ensure accurate equipment operation/maintenance and ensures proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
  • Check that all supplies are a specified quality and not breaching purchasing policy as outlined by purchasing
  • Supervise portion numbers, control food wastage on site and take appropriate action as the need arises
  • Day to day finances and administration

Experience

  • Experience as a Catering Manager in a contract catering environment
  • The ability to lead and manage a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative
  • DBS checks required
