WHAT TO EXPECT  

 

Join our dynamic team at JLR as Engine Performance Simulation Engineer As part of the powertrain analysis and attributes department, you will play a pivotal role within virtual engineering for our vehicle and powertrain programs. 

Within this opportunity you will collaborate with talented colleagues and delivery   engine performance simulation to ensure that the engine system meets program requirements with respect to performance and controls, emissions, and software. You will be responsible for concept simulations, modelling expertise and tools from research through to the delivery phase.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities  

  • Simulating engine performance using industry-standard software. GT Power. 

  • Analyse test data with applications like MATLAB and AVL Concerto. 

  • Resolve technical difficulties through virtual assessments and coordination with physical test teams. 

  • Manage CAE data and analysis plans for programme gateways. 

  • Focus on developing tools and strategies to increase the quality and resilience of virtual models. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED  

 

  • Experience with CAE methodologies and virtual verification techniques. 

  • Previous experience delivering engine performance simulation projects. 

  • Knowledge of software like GT Power, AVL concerto, MATLAB, and Simulink. 

  • Understanding of engine technologies and their role in delivering powertrain systems performance. 

  • Experience working within project environment and ability to manage deliverables independently.
