With over 65 years in business this business has grown to become one of the most prominent companies within their market. Since their inception they have diversified, strengthened and developed the business to continue their exciting growth within recent years.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced accountant to take the lead across the company as the Finance Manager on a full time, permanent basis.


Roles & Responsibilities;

·       Oversee day to day running of the finance function & team

·       Preparation of management accounts and financial reporting

·       Oversee cash flow management and treasury management

·       Management of the accounts payable process

·       Prepare and complete a range of statutory submissions

·       Actively challenge project costing information

·       Energy contract negotiation and procurement

·       Asset finance

·       Assist in month-end-closing

·       Manage quarterly stock-takes

·       Main point of contact for external audit and legal services

·       Proactive mindset to continuous improvement of processes and technology through identification of areas of opportunity

·       Work in close partnership with other functions as appropriate


What we are looking for;

·       Ideally fully qualified accountant, however experienced Part qual or QBE also considered

·       Knowledge of the following areas may be an advantage - job costing and project accounting, packaging legislation incl PPT, TSS, CCA reporting, completion and filing of CT61s, P11Ds.

·       Take accountability for own workload, able to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively

·       Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to interact with colleagues in a respectful and professional manner

·       Willingness to use own initiative to solve problem

·       Ability to recommend, implement, improve and change processes as required to increase efficiency of the accounting function

·       Must have a strong work ethic, common sense and be well organised

·       Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable and accurate

·       Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change

·       Good skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams and Word
