We are looking for an Archives Site Lead to work at our site in Eye, Suffolk. This role includes Sample Management and/or Archives responsibilities in compliance with appropriate SOPâs and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations (as appropriate) in support of various Business Unit Operations.

You will ensure that services to both internal and external customers are provided in a timely manner or as agreed in Service Level Agreements by this team.

 The main responsibilities will include:

  • Day to day management of a team of 6 people, duties including coordination and progress to ensure achievement of timelines and goals are met

  • Provide expertise on all the processes of the department and support the team on the floor to  ensure work is balanced and the team are properly trained

  • Co-ordination  and supervision of the department to ensure the successful implementation of strategic solutions and processes  are in order to deliver outstanding customer satisfaction

  • Planning and forecasting workload resources and maximising production efficiency.  Project management as required

  • To ensure high level of  customer service is maintained at all times

  • Meetings - drive and support monthly meetings with your own direct reports,  attending the Managers meetings  monthly with your Manager and peers plus the Global meetings monthly

Education:

  • GCSE/A level or equivalent

Skills and experience

  • Experience of working within an Archive, logistical, library, warehouse environment or similar

  • Proven staff supervision experience

  • Knowledge or understanding of working in a regulated environment

  • Basic computing skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets (e.g. Word, Excel)

  • Self motivated, whilst also working closely with all levels
