The Role:

Our site in Eye, Suffolk is currently recruiting for a Facilities Team Leader to join the team on a full-time basis.

Primarily your role will be to lead a team of maintenance engineers/technicians, whilst also carrying out engineering maintenance work alongside the team.

While core hours will be Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm, there will be an on-call rota where you will be available 1 in every 5-6 weeks to attend any emergencies out of hours.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and line management duties
  • Ensuring all works are completed against SLA's
  • Mentoring and training of direct reports, performing performance reviews
  • Completing engineer maintenance work as required. This is inclusive of:
    • Maintaining/fault finding on a wide range of mechanical/electrical services
    • Reading mechanical/electrical service drawings and schematics
    • Operating, inspecting and repairing heating, pressure and commercial hot and cold domestic water systems.
    • Operating, inspecting and maintaining HVAC plant and associated local/BMS systems
    • Repairing/ fault diagnosing electrical equipment and installations in line with current regulations.
  • Managing resources ensuring team have tools and equipment to carry out engineering repairs, ordering as required.
  • Deputising for Facilities Manager during periods of absence

Education:

  • BTEC, City & Guilds recognised Apprenticeship required in Maintenance, Electrical or similar field

Requirements:

  • Supervisory experience is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Experience within a relevant Maintenance Engineering role.
  • Must live within 45 minutes of Eye due to on-call requirement
