The Accounts Assistant will support the Finance Manager in maintaining accurate financial records, handling invoices, processing payments, and performing various administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key
Responsibilities:
* Accounts Payable:
* Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
* Verify invoice accuracy and match with purchase orders.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
* Accounts Receivable:
* Generate customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
* Maintain customer accounts and update payment records.
* Assist in credit control and debt collection efforts.
* Bank Reconciliation:
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
* Investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
* General Ledger:
* Assist in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries.
* Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Financial Reporting:
* Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements, including month end Accounts.
* Administration:
* Produce quotes
* Ordering plant and materials to site as required
Experience:

* Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is advantageous.
