We’re looking for a Surgical care Practitioner to join our Private Care at Guys part of London Bridge Hospital at London currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. The theatres across our facilities, provide a vibrant, exciting, and professional environment where the advance equipment and technology is second to none.

Private Care at Guy's is part of London Bridge Hospital, it has four Operating Theatres offering a wide range of surgeries including Robotics, Urology and Gynaecology. Equipped with three state-of-the-art Da Vinci Surgical Systems, our theatres boast one of the largest multi-specialty private robotic programmes in the UK.

With 49 patient bedrooms and four Level 3 ICU beds we offer our patients exceptional treatment across a multitude of acute and complex care, delivering a level of care rarely found in the private sector.

Successful candidates will be part of a large theatre team of colleagues, experienced professionals. We have a successful track record of career progression, offering support and development to those seeking to aspire higher or widen their knowledge.

Reporting to the Theatre Manager, working with colleagues, you will have a strong knowledge and experience in operating theatres with an excellent understanding of the perioperative needs of patients, and a wide knowledge of peri-operative nursing practices and procedures. You must be organised, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience of supervising a multi-disciplinary team providing the highest standard of patient care across a varied caseload.

What you’ll bring:
Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner (SCP) experienced in Robotics (Da Vinchi) is essential.
Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g. nurse or ODP) with a related honours degree
Recent experience in theatre nursing
18 months working within a similar autonomous role is desirable.
An aptitude for clinical and operative practice
The ability to effectively manage the clinical area on a day to day basis and plan ahead
