UCLH is a leading robotic centre in the UK performing over 1000 robotic operations a year. The Urology department is looking to appoint Uro
- oncology Robotic Surgical Care Practitioner. We are looking for fully qualified and experienced SCPs to form part of a vibrant surgical team in addition to providing advanced level surgical assistance in Uro-oncology robotic theatres The applicants should be dynamic individuals, with excellent clinical skills, who, working in partnership with the consultant surgeon, are involved in the overall delivery of the highest level of surgical care.

The SCP will be expected to work collaboratively with the team of qualified and trainee Robotic surgeons and the wider MDT. Looking at specifically working with preassessment to safely optimise patients for theatre within their target date.

We are looking for a highly skilled, motivated and dynamic nurse to help make a difference and improve the experience of patients with a diagnosis of cancer. This role will be responsible for co-ordinating the patient pathway, working with multidisciplinary teams and providing nurse led clinics. The role involves working alongside the existing Urology Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialists, lead surgical Care Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide a high-quality service for cancer patients and their families throughout their cancer journey.

**You will be expected to**:
Demonstrate clinical expertise

Demonstrate advanced communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a collaborative team working attitude.

Demonstrate the ability to undertake expert case load management and adept at managing your own workload and prioritising the requirements of the service and the role.

Audit and research, to promote service development initiatives as an integral part of the role.

The post holders will be involved in training and teaching skills to team members including junior surgical trainees.
