Specialist Domestic Abuse Worker

Candidates should have a good understanding of working with children and young people who have experienced trauma, have experience in providing direct support and have excellent communication skills.
They should be able to help service users identify support needs, discuss solutions to meet these needs and advise of coping strategies to reduce trauma and anxiety issues.
Ongoing on the job training and mentoring will be given to gain understanding on the effect that living in an unhealthy relationship has on both women and children.
The current post equates to 26 hours but working hours and pattern are open to negotiation.
