What You Will Be Doing
As an IM&T Cyber Graduate, your role will be to study and develop skills, knowledge, and experience across the spectrum of the Cyber Security discipline. The role broadly covers the following duties and responsibilities:
Communicates security risks and issues to business managers and applies and maintains specific security controls as required by organizational policy and local risk assessments. Investigates minor security breaches in accordance with established procedures. Assists users in defining their access rights and privileges. Performs non-standard security administration tasks and resolves security administration issues. Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders to meet their requirements, including one-to-one liaison, interacting effectively and confidently with Business Customers, IT Management, and Vendors. Provides advice and guidance to business stakeholders on security best practices and application of Security policies and processes to ensure compliance and/or risk management facilitating delivery of business objectives. Supports and implements Information Security controls to protect business information and systems through the development and application of policies, processes, and support activities in line with the Security strategy and the programme of work. Provides advice and guidance on the application of security grading as appropriate to individual programmes and or functions. Delivers communications on the security aspects of projects to programmes, partners, and suppliers and continuous improvement to embed an effective security culture. SkillsAs a minimum requirement, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM or Business, Finance, Legal, or Project Management related subjects.
