Position Overview:

The Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the engineering activities within our Engineering & Design division, with a strong focus on EPC and drilling projects. This role requires meticulous activity and resource planning to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects from conception through to completion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering and design team, ensuring project deliverables are executed on time, within budget, and adhere to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Coordinate closely with project delivery teams, including project controls, fabrication, and construction to ensure the seamless execution of projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and verifications.
  • Implement and enforce stringent quality control and assurance processes to uphold high standards in engineering work.
  • Assist directors in developing and managing the engineering budget, ensuring the cost-effective use of resources.
  • Oversee the procurement of engineering materials and services, ensuring they meet the specific needs and timelines of projects.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil and gas sector, with a particular emphasis on expanding offerings.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field) is essential.
  • A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., Chartered Engineer) is preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience in engineering management within the energy sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, with significant experience in EPC and drilling operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools.
