We are now looking for a Sexual Health Officer to join our team on a part-time basis, working 18.5 hours per week, for a fixed-term contract until 31st March 2027.

The Role

As a Sexual Health Officer, you will support the delivery of targeted sexual health and wellbeing services.

Working towards key quality, performance and activity targets, you will help us reduce stigma by increasing awareness of sexual and reproductive health and related issues.

You will deliver a range of targeted sexual health interventions, such as workshops, brief interventions and one-to-one support in a wide variety of settings across Liverpool with intersectional LGBT people.

Additionally, you will:

- Lead on the recruitment, training and ongoing management of our volunteer team, who will deliver sexual health interventions
- Attend a range of regular outreach events and distribution venues
- Produce reports
- Work with the Sexual Health Co-ordinator to deliver our Sexual Health community asset mapping strategy

About You

To be considered as a Sexual Health Officer, you will need:

- Experience in delivering health and wellbeing services and interventions
- Experience in content creation and the development of resources
- Experience of volunteering work or co-ordinating activities with volunteers
- Working knowledge of sexual health, particularly in relation to the LGBT community
- Knowledge of effective communication strategies for a range of audiences
- A demonstrable understanding of how to co-ordinate activities and people effectively

As this role focuses on working for a service specifically designed by and for trans and non-binary communities, we believe lived experience of being trans and/or non-binary and/or having experienced NHS gender transition services will be hugely valuable to the role.
