Suttons International, a family-owned global logistics business, seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join ourWidnes Head Office Depot.

The Role

?As an International Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring day to day purchase ledger duties are performed to a high standard, reporting to the Purchase Ledger Team Leader.Ensuring invoices are entered on to the system quickly, accurately and efficiently to ensure we pay to agreed supplier commercial terms.

Key Accountabilities
Matching of freight and Maintenance invoices against relevant costs in RAM and DocumationPosting invoices directly to Sage where necessaryLiaising with various departments around the business to ensure completion of tasks when necessaryAccurate and timely processing of invoicesProvide support to the extended finance teamAccurate and timely fortnightly payment runs of multi-currenciesLooking at process improvements pro-activelyBuilding and keeping good relationships with suppliersAbility to prioritise without close supervisionAbility to work independently and take accountability for own roleStatement reconciliations including liaising with suppliers and colleagues to clear queriesPreparing payments for suppliersAd-hoc dutiesHousekeeping

Skills & Experience
Knowledge of Suttons International limited or other logistics businesses (desirable)Knowledge of RAM and Documation (desirable)Knowledge of Sage X3 (desirable)HSBC system (or equivalent) online bankingStrong Purchase ledger BackgroundExperience in a busy Accounts Payable environmentExperience of working in a fast-paced environment with high volumes
