Corporate Parenting Finance Officer

13 per hour PAYE

Job Summary:
The Corporate Parenting Finance Officer ensures timely and accurate processing of payments to Providers and Carers, supports financial management, and resolves queries to maintain the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Corporate Parenting payments and maintain accurate financial records.
Ensure timely setup of bank and payment details for Providers and Carers.
Address and resolve payment queries from Providers, Carers, and managers.
Assist in budget monitoring and ensure compliance with financial processes.
Manage debt issues and support budget holders with financial tasks.
Handle sensitive data in compliance with GDPR.
Uphold the County Council's safeguarding commitment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience: Previous experience in a finance-related role, preferably within a local authority or similar environment.

Skills: Proficient in ERP and financial management systems (e.g., ContrOCC). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Knowledge: Understanding of financial regulations, national charging guidance, and GDPR.
Attributes: High attention to detail, proactive attitude, and commitment to safeguarding principles.
