We are delighted to be representing a reputable local business in their search for an Operational Management Accountant to join their team based on their site based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Working closely with the operational team in a Management Accountant/Business Partnering capacity, this is a key role within the business. Typically you will be required to carry out the following tasks:

  • Assist in month end closing, providing commentary and variance analysis
  • Ensure raw material stock counts are being conducted according to company standards
  • Improve standard costing process and work closely with stake holders to ensure bills of materials, routings and efficiencies are up to date
  • Management and review of departmental spend reports with budget holders
  • Monthly balance sheet control
  • Product costing, analysing cost of raw materials etc
  • Budget creation of operations related costs and variances, including forecasting where required
  • Other duties to support the team

Applications are welcomed from individuals with the following skills and experience:

  • Formally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Recent experience within a manufacturing environment is essential
  • IT Literate (experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX would be advantageous)
  • Excellent communications skills are essential (ability to communicate effectively with non finance stakeholders)
