Your typical day will look like this:
- Promoting and enhancing children s independence while protecting them from harm
- Respecting children's rights and promoting their interests
- Establishing and maintaining trust and confidence with children, families and other agencies
- Ensuring the highest quality of service
- Ensuring staff understand their roles and remain suitably skilled and qualified
- Facilitating staff inductions and ongoing training
- Ensuring each child has an individual support plan and risk assessment
- Reviewing and updating support documentation
- Ensuring adequate staffing levels
- Leading with Ofsted, safeguarding and LADO as needed
This role will excite a person who:
- Has a level 5 diploma in leadership and management for residential childcare or equivalent
- Proof of ongoing child-specific training
- Proof of mandatory training in residential childcare setting
- Experience working with young people with support needs
- Reporting to and working with Ofstead and safeguarding teams
- Understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities or complex needs
- Clean driving licence
- Willing to undertake training and professional development
