For this new role, we are searching for someone with senior experience in corporate planning and performance reporting, who combines analytical skills with excellent strategic capability and experience communicating effectively to a Board-level audience. You will have a proven track record of operating successfully and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, proven analytical skills and experience, and the ability to provide strategic advice on delivery against priorities to an organisation’s leadership team. 

We have recently reviewed our approach to corporate performance reporting. You will be the senior lead for delivering this new approach, ensuring our Mayor, Executive Team, and staff receive quality reporting and insights which enable them to understand how we are performing, identify risks and prioritise resource. You will lead a small team in delivering our objective to take SYMCA’s corporate performance reporting to the next level, embedding a focus on outcomes and cross-cutting priorities and ensuring we are ready for Oflog’s reporting requirements. You will also lead on refreshing and embedding SYMCA’s corporate plan so that it embodies our Mayor’s new manifesto and shapes our prioritisation. 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

The Principal: Corporate Planning & Performance should possess the following -

A proven track record of delivering quality corporate planning and performance reporting in a complex organisation along with leadership and project management skills – the ability to lead, manage and develop a team to perform at their best and deliver quality products to time in a fast-paced environment. You will have experience in building constructive, collaborative working relationships and engaging with internal and external partners to deliver. Coupled with analysis and insight skills – demonstrable evidence of defining complex problems, ensuring data and analytical quality, and bringing strategic insights on what matters from data in a way which allow decisions to be taken.
